Kieran Marshall investigated the small mammals, bats and frogs found in three different woodlands:  Kurri Sands Woodland Swamp - located lowlands west of the Sugarloaf Range; Red Gum Forest, located on the Western Slopes of the Sugarloaf Range; and Blue Gum Forest, located on the Eastern Slopes of the Sugarloaf Range.
He used Elliot Traps baited with oats and peanut butter, camera traps, scat analysis and spotlighting to collect data on animal abundance.
