Richmond Vale Rail Trail Landcare Meetup
When: 2nd Tuesday of each month, 8:30am - 11am
Where: To be advised by the Coordinator prior to each monthly working bee.
Cost: FREE
Tools in gloved hands will strike a blow in clearing the Richmond Vale Rail Trail weeds in liaison with the National Parks and Wildlife Service. We meet from 0830 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. You are welcome to attend but you must first contact the Coordinator. During 2019, our team has successfully cleared the section of the trail along the Tank Paddock near Minmi. During 2020 we will target a different area, but will maintain the existing clearing as well.
Dress for the job in sturdy shoes, long pants, long sleeved shirt and hat. Bring a water bottle. Tools will be provided.
Morning tea provided.
The trail runs for 32km along the path of the old Richmond Vale line from Hexham to Kurri Kurri and offers walkers, naturalists, bird lovers and conservation students a wonderful chance to observe the scenic beauty and extraordinary ecological diversity from the tidal swamps through to the rugged forests of the Sugarloaf Ranges.
