Living Smart Festival, Lake Macquarie - Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who visited the Newcastle Cycleways Movement (NCM) and Richmond Vale Rail Trail (RVRT) Supporters' Group Marquees today at the Living Smart Festival.

Special thanks to Neville J, Phillipa W, Paul G, Sam M and Terry L who spent the whole day at the Festival looking after the NCM/RVRT marquees. Approx. 100 people stopped by to chat about current Newcastle cycleways and the proposed 32+ km RVRT and broader 100+ km Shiraz to Shore cycle trail.

Shared Post from:  Bike About Town – Newcastle    (Phillipa W)
Come see us today at the Living Smart Festival at Speers Point Park! Here until 3pm! I’m at the Newcastle Cycleways Movement’s marquee, behind the stage. Come get a free fluro bike vest and the latest fold-out cycling map from Lake Macquarie City Council. Check out the Richmond Vale Rail Trail marquee. Free bike valet parking next to the stage.

Additional Comment from RVRT Supporters’ Group:
While we were a little out of the way with respect to the main stalls and entertainment areas, we were adjacent to the lake and the Watagan Track - which is part of the off-road shared pathway from Wallsend to Eleebana (or Section 6a of the proposed Shiraz to Shore cycle trail) - so, a perfect position for cyclists and walkers (with dogs) visiting the Festival site. Thanks again to everyone who stopped by for a chat and added their e-mail contact details to our distribution lists.
